Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy

Website owner and binding of Terms
This website is owned and operated by Dental Seminars Limited. These Terms set forth the terms and conditions under which you may use our website and services as offered by us. This website offers visitors information on our dental CBCT courses and advice on the current UK training guidance for dental CBCT. By accessing or using the website of our service, you approve that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

Website usage
In order to use our website and/or receive our services, you must be at least [add number] years of age, or of the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, and possess the legal authority, right and freedom to enter into these Terms as a binding agreement. You are not allowed to use this website and/or receive services if doing so is prohibited in your country or under any law or regulation applicable to you.

Course booking
When booking a course, you agree that: (i) you are responsible for reading the full course listing before making a commitment to buy it: (ii) you enter into a legally binding contract to purchase the service when you commit to registering and you complete the check-out payment process.  The prices we charge for our courses are listed on the website. We reserve the right to change our prices for courses displayed at any time, and to correct pricing errors that may inadvertently occur. Additional information about pricing and sales tax is available on the payments page.   The fee for the services and any other charges you may incur in connection with your use of the service, such as taxes and possible transaction fees, will be charged on a monthly basis to your payment method.

Refunds & cancellations
Refunds will be provided if a course is cancelled within 48 hours of order on condition that no learning content has been accessed.  After 48 hours no cancellations or refunds are accepted for the online Level 1 course regardless of whether you have started the course or not.  Level 1 CBCT course access is for 365 days.  As all courses are professional dental courses purchased by dental professionals,  they are not regulated under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Cancellations are accepted for the CBCT Level 2 program in writing up to 28 days before the Level 2 course date.  Cancellations received before this date will be given a full refund.  No refunds will be given for any cancellations received closer than 28 days to the course date.

The Level 2 course registration is not transferable to a future date.  If a place is cancelled within 28 days of the course date the place cannot be transferred for free to a later running of the course.  Registrants may transfer their place to a colleague.

All CBCT Level 2 delegates must be qualified dental or medical practitioners.  All CBCT Level 1 delegates must be dentists, dental radiographers or dental care professionals


Right to change offering
We may, without prior notice, change the offerings; stop providing the offerings or any features of the courses we offer; or create limits for the offerings. We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend access to the services without notice and liability for any reason, or for no reason.

Ownership of intellectual property, copyright and logos
The Service and all materials therein or transferred thereby, including, without limitation, software, images, text, graphics, logos, patents, trademarks, service marks, copyrights, photographs, audio, videos, music and all Intellectual Property Rights related thereto, are the exclusive property of Dental Seminars Ltd. Except as explicitly provided herein, nothing in these Terms shall be deemed to create a license in or under any such Intellectual Property Rights, and you agree not to sell, license, rent, modify, distribute, copy, reproduce, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, publish, adapt, edit or create derivative works thereof.

Right to suspend or cancel user account
We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend any user's access to the service without notice and liability for any reason, including if in our sole determination the user violates any provision of these Terms or any applicable law or regulations. You may discontinue use and request to cancel your account and/or any services at any time. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the foregoing, with respect to automatically-renewed subscriptions to paid services, such subscriptions will be discontinued only upon the expiration of the respective period for which you have already made payment

Indeminification
You agree to indemnify and hold Dental Seminars harmless from any demands, loss, liability, claims or expenses (including attorneys’ fees), made against them by any third party due to, or arising out of, or in connection with your use of the website or any of the services offered on the website.

Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Dental Seminars Limited, be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including without limitation, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dental Seminars Limited assumes no liability or responsibility for any (i) errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content; (ii) personal injury or property damage, of any nature whatsoever, resulting from your access to or use of our service; and (iii) any unauthorized access to or use of our secure servers and/or any and all personal information stored therein.

Right to change and modify Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms from time to time at our sole discretion. Therefore, you should review these page periodically. When we change the Terms in a material manner, we will notify you that material changes have been made to the Terms. Your continued use of the Website or our service after any such change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to any of these terms or any future version of the Terms, do not use or access (or continue to access) the website or the service.

These Terms, the rights and remedies provided hereunder, and any and all claims and disputes related hereto and/or to the services, shall be governed by, construed under and enforced in all respects solely and exclusively in accordance with the internal substantive laws of the United Kingdom, without respect to its conflict of laws principles. Any and all such claims and disputes shall be brought in, and you hereby consent to them being decided exclusively by a court of competent jurisdiction located in the United Kingdom. The application of the United Nations Convention of Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is hereby expressly excluded.

1. What information do we collect and what do we do with it?

When you subscribe to our site to receive free or paid products, including online courses, eBooks and webinars, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name and email address. Additionally, we collect device-specific information such as your operating system version and device type to enhance your app experience.

Email marketing: we may send you emails about our site, related services, products or other updates. We may also use your email to inform you about new products, services, changes to products, survey you about your usage, or seek your opinion.

2. How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to subscribe to a service on our site, make a purchase, or participate in or consume a digital product, you imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to unsubscribe if consent is implied.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law, such as in response to a court order or an investigation.

4. Payment

If you make a purchase on our site, we use a third-party payment processor such as Stripe or PayPal. Payments are encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our site and related courses and its service providers.

5. Third-Party Services

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

Certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. If you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave our website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.
