The UK guidance requires dentists to undertake refresher CBCT training every 5 years

This on-demand online course provides the required 5 year refresher training to satisfy the UK training requirements for Dental CBCT

This refresher course is only open to holders of Level 1 or Level 2 CBCT Training Certificates

SUITABLE FOR:

Holders of Level 1 or Level 2 CBCT Training Certificates who need to take the 5-year refresher course, as required by the UK CBCT Training Guidance

Participants must already hold Level 1 or Level 2 CBCT certification.  This refresher course is not suitable for initial training in Dental CBCT

- review the current relevant CBCT guidelines

- refresh their understanding of the IRMER roles in CBCT imaging

- refresh their understanding of the rationale for CBCT scans

- appreciate the limitations of CBCT radiography

- refresh their knowledge of the causes of common CBCT imaging artefacts 

- review the principles of CBCT

- gain an overview of the risks of CBCT

- reflect on radiation protection and optimization procedures relevant to CBCT

- review normal dento-alveolar anatomy when represented on a CBCT scan

- review pathology commonly seen on dental CBCT scans

- formulate a dental CBCT report using a provided template
